Dear Reader, Issue 28

Dear Reader,

Summer is here, and with it a bittersweet farewell from Niv for the near future. As Niv’s cofounders, Clarrie Feinstein and Orly Zebak, delve into new life adventures and opportunities, they’ll be taking a year-long hiatus from the publication. You can read more from the cofounders in their personal essay

Issue 28, is slender in size and features some of our most frequent contributors. Arts & Kvetch columnist Lara Bulgar gives us a wonderfully captivating interview with Jewish playwright Jordi Mand, Cantor Ella Gladstone Martin offers insightful and uplifting words on combatting hate with love, Kelsey Grashoff’s delivers her top10 book list of all time, Faith Kramer delights us with her delicious recipes, and Alexander Gelfand provides important reflection during a trip to Berlin with his son.

We can’t thank our contributors enough for the last six years of incredible articles, personal essays, stories, and artwork. Our publication would be nothing without their thoughtful words and ideas.

This issue, as always, offers illuminating, engaging and varied work—showing us the multitude of Jewish perspectives that Niv always strives to platform.

To all our readers, those who donated, and avid supporters, we can’t ever express just how grateful we are; it’s motivated us to keep going and continue to publish this beautiful digital magazine. Thank you for being on this ride with us.

It’s not goodbye, but see you later.

Until next time!

Warmly,

Clarrie & Orly
